After studying at Harvard Law School in the mid-1970s, Pforzheimer Professor of Science and Technology Studies at Harvard Kennedy School Sheila Jasanoff landed a job at a tiny environmental law firm. She practiced for two years at the firm before becoming a research associate at Cornell, where she first began to study the relationship between science and public policy, launching what is now a nearly 35-year-long career.
The Center for the Environment brings together one of the largest and most varied faculty communities on campus. HUCE Faculty Associates participate in events, workshops, grant programs, and meet twice-monthly to discuss their research and environmental issues more broadly.
