Film Screening: "Containment"
The Center for Public Leadership at Harvard Kennedy School invite you to a film screening of Containment followed by a Q&A with the filmakers, Harvard Professors, Peter Galison and Robb Moss. Moderated by Rand Wentworth, Louis Bacon Senior Fellow in Environmental Leadership.
Imagine a society 10,000 years from now. Can we protect them from the deadliest, most long-lasting radioactive substances ever produced? Not a single country in the world has a clear plan for what to do with our radioactive waste stream. From New Mexico to Fukushima, meet the people trying to create monuments that will speak across time to protect future generations. Containment, a film by Harvard Professors Peter Galison and Robb Moss, brings together observational footage with graphic novel and 3D animation, to explain our uneasy present and an imaginative, troubled far future.
Co-sponsored by Harvard University Center for the Environment and the HKS Energy & Environment Professional Interest Council
