The Massachusetts Historical Society hosts "Hurricane of the New South: ‘Mud Work’ and Transformations in Black Labor on the  South Carolina Sea Islands at the Dawn of Jim Crow" with Caroline Grego, University of Colorado Boulder. Comment by Chad Montrie, University of Massachusetts Lowell.
