Boston Area Sustainability Group Presentation

Join the Boston Area Sustainability Group for their presentation of "A Burning Question: Are Oil and Gas Companies Really Evolving?"

The question is certainly urgent, if not rhetorical: Will O&G co's transform to align with the Paris Agreement to help prevent climate change's worst impacts? A few majors have recently stated their ambitions to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. Yet many have not.

Join BASG to hear from the Union of Concerned Scientists' chief scientist and the leader of their Climate Accountability campaign. Chelsea City Councilor Damali Vidot will be participating in an effort to hold ExxonMobil accountable for their leaking oil tank farm which is not resilient to storm surge and threatens the frontline communities of Everett, Chelsea and East Boston.
