Discussion and Lunch with Dr. Arlene Blum
Please join world-renowned scientist and public health advocate Dr. Arlene Blum and the Harvard Office for Sustainability for a lunch discussion on the chemicals in your everyday personal care and household products: what you need to know to become an informed consumer to help protect your health. Dr. Blum will present the six classes of harmful chemicals, as well as strategies to reduce exposure to these common toxins by choosing safer products. Dr. Blum was a key advisor and advocate for changing the California law (and de facto national standard) to eliminate harmful chemical flame retardants in furniture—as featured in the New York Times. Lunch provided at the Grafton Street Pub & Grill.
Please RSVP here by midnight on Thursday, September 17.
