2017 Jean and Henry Stone Memorial Lecture
Noted author, environmental advocate, and Nobel Prize laureate Dr. Eric Chivian will deliver the 2017 Jean and Henry Stone Memorial Lecture on “Human Health and the Environment.” Dr. Chivian shared the 1985 Nobel Peace Prize for co-founding the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War and is an Associate in the Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University. Dr. Chivian has long inspired medical and environmental professionals, as well as policy makers, religious groups, and people seeking to connect with the natural world to recognize the implications of declining animal and plant species—and the vitality of the global environment in general—on human health and well-being.
The Stone Lecture series is presented by Mass Audubon’s Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary in South Natick.
