World Film Premiere Event: Mining the Deep Sea

Join the MIT Environmental Solutions Initiative for the world-premiere screening of "Mining the Deep Sea," a film about deep-sea mining produced by John Freidah, followed by a panel discussion with experts from the film.

In 2015, Professor Tom Peacock received a seed grant from ESI to explore the environmental effects of a new generation of mining practices to extract precious elements from the sea floor. Now, Peacock and his collaborators reveal their findings in the original film "Mining the Deep Sea." Reception to follow.
