Emma Chastain is a Junior at Harvard college concentrating in Environmental Science and Public Policy with a secondary in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology. Interested in the intersection of science and society, Emma hopes to pursue an interdisciplinary approach to solving environmental issues. During her time at Harvard, Emma has become more engaged in learning about urban issues and in how effective city planning systems can help create more vibrant physical landscapes. She has recently spent time in Australia researching new models of community based natural resource management plans.

Evelyn Chow is a junior at Harvard College concentrating in Psychology (Social and Cognitive Neuroscience), with a secondary in Environmental Science and Public Policy. Integrating her interests in sustainability, ethics, and psychology, Evelyn hopes to become involved in community-based impact investing, with a focus on environmental and social issues. Her recent experience includes building a model to assess the energy and emissions savings potential of New York City buildings, and managing an investment index measuring the community investment initiatives of S&P900 companies. Evelyn is also the founder and trustee of the Harvard College Social Responsibility Trust, the first undergraduate group on campus to examine environmental, social, and governance issues in investing and business.

Austin Meyer is a Junior at Harvard College, where he is concentrating in Environmental Science and Public Policy.  Austin is seeking to enter the field of Green Construction and Urban Planning.  His recent experience includes supporting the development of Harvard Art Museum’s fundraising database, and writing detailed contact reports to museum supporters and members.  An avid outdoorsman, in 2007 Austin provided motivational instruction in sportsmanship games at SKYHIGH Adventures, the largest organized youth multi-sport clinic series in the country.  Austin is also a three-time US national team rower, training for the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games, and currently on the Harvard Rowing Team.

Utkalika Panda is a LEED certified Architect – Urban Designer with nearly 4 years of professional experience in projects like waterfront development, urban revitalization, adaptive reuse, master planning, housing, storm water management, Brownfield remediation, EIA and Tsunami disaster management in cities such as Kingston, Buffalo, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Santo Domingo, Pune, Ahmadabad and Cuddalore. Before graduating from the M.S program in Architecture and Urban Design program at Columbia University in 2010, she worked as a professional urban designer-master planner in developing countries like India & China. As a Gold Medalist in environmental planning from School of Planning & Architecture in New Delhi in 2006, she is passionate about working on innovative strategies for environment, infrastructure, economy and community to build resilient cities. Her recent work, namely Bricolage- Building Resilience in Cities of Global South, has qualified as a finalist for the resilient city design ideas competition in 2010.
