Humanity and Nature in the New Millennium Conference”
First International Conference
Donghaidao, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, China
November 27–29, 2000

Humanity has entered into the new millennium with the hope that the twenty-first century will become a different epoch.

Even before the ending of the past millennial cycle, the world’s leading scientists determined numerous coincidences in the teachings of the ancient sages and the conclusions of the modern scientific experiments. This has changed some understandings on the connections between humanity and nature. Yet, as a whole, in view of this question and in its behavior, old patterns still remain in human society.

This conference will explore the relationship between humanity and nature for the new millennium. Discussions will take place from various standpoints (e.g., holistic, classical scientific perspectives, combination of different integrative fields, etc.) Some of the issues discussed at the conference will include:

  • What represents living matter and its place in the Universe?
  • How does one restore harmony between humanity and Nature?
  • What are the possibilities of resolving human health problems?
  • How does one expand the cognitive potential of the human brain in order to achieve new breakthroughs in scientific knowledge that stimulate healthy development of both humanity and the Earth?

The conveners of this conference invite scientists, specialists in the spheres of ecology and environmental protection, philosophy, medicine (Western, Eastern, Alternative), biology, physics, Quantum physics, chemistry, the life sciences, Qigong, Sports and Health, Nutrition, developers of Green foods and healthy products, and scholars in other fields related to the study of human-nature relations, to take part in the International Conference on Humanity and Nature.
