National Launch Event
Canadian Forum on Religion and Ecology
University of Toronto
121 St. Joseph Street
Alumni Hall, Room 400

Toronto, Canada
March 7, 2004

The Canadian Forum on Religion and Ecology (CFORE) will be officially launched at the University of Toronto on Sunday, March 7, 2004, at 3:00 pm.

The Canadian Forum's mission is to facilitate transformative dialogue and education. Over the next three years they will establish a national Canadian presence with a series of lectures and discussions across Canada. They hope that their interdisciplinary and inter-religious educational forums will foster a transformative ecological spirit within Canada's many colleges and universities. In addition to their educational efforts, the Canadian Forum will advocate ecological sustainability in Canada in an effort to influence key public policy initiatives.

The inaugural lecture on "Buddhism, Nature, and the Ecological Self" will be presented by Kenneth Kraft.

For additional information, consult the CFORE website.
