Adhitya Raghavan: "Lithium Ion Battery Manufacturing"
First-year student at HBS with expertise in mechanical and aerospace engineering, manufacturing, startups, and private equity.

Talk Summary:
We are here to pitch our idea of creating energy resiliency using battery storage systems in developing countries such as India and replacing GHG emitting diesel generators. We will talk about the Indian battery landscape, where there are opportunities, and how we can solve that problem.

2. Dimitri Courant: "Deliberative Climate Politics - Comparing the Irish Citizens’ Assembly and the French Citizen Convention for Climate"
Postdoctoral research fellow, Ash Center, Harvard Kennedy School

Talk Summary:
The climate crisis exposes the shortcomings of representative government, fueling interest in alternative approaches. Deliberative mini-publics (DMPs) are emerging as a solution, comprising randomly selected citizens who audition experts and deliberate on complex policy issues. This talk will explore the potential of DMPs in shaping "deliberative climate politics" and examine the creation, organization, and outcomes of these democratic innovations.
